Big Problem: Can't Load Sims Social, Loading Bar Stuck at 65%

For a few days in a row now, many Sims Social players are having a huge problem: they simply can't load the game and anything they do doesn't seem to be able to fix the problem. Usually, the game remains stuck when the loading bar reaches 65% and after a while gives an error message (Hit a snag, usually).

Here is how one of the fans of The Sims Social describes the problem:

"In last 3 days, I can't play The Sims Social. Because every time I'm playing, at 65% when loading the game, this warning always comes: "Ooops, we've hit a snag. Try refreshing your browser. Finger crossed." But even if I refresh my browser, it doesn't work..."

Apparently, Electronic Arts is aware of this problem and the developers are working hard to fix it: "We are currently making progress fixing the loading issues that some players are having. You may experience downtime for approximately 30 minutes while we implement these fixes. Thank you for your patience."

However, this message is being posted there all the time for three days now and no fix has been applied to The Sims Social and the game still gets stuck at 65% loading...

Even more, many of my neighbors have gone missing from my neighbor bar in Sims Social and after contacting some of them, I found out that they have this problem with the game not loading. So it's like they don't even exist in the game, which is very unsettling.

But hopefully, EA will fix this problem soon. Until then, all that we can do is wait...

How to Get Free Simoleons in The Sims Social (No Energy Consumed!)

Hello, friends! I am here to share a quick tip with you on how to get a bunch of free Simoleons in The Sims Social without consuming energy, while also interacting with your neighbors. The tip was sent in by Luíz Henrique Jofre and I thank him for that.

Here is what you should do:

"Take a bath in a house of some friend, and gain 5 simoleans and 2 social points totally free!"

Well, it might not seem to be much, but it's free Simoleons we're talking about, so every little bit counts!

The Sims Social: More Funny Stacking Images (Glitches)

As you probably know already, there is the possibility to stack items in The Sims Social and create some really funny designs. One of our dear readers, Venyton Izidoro, has decided to take stacking to a whole new level in Sims Social and sent us the results. There are many glitches and bugs and an overall hilarious result to item stacking. Check out the images below, they certainly managed to make my day better:

Get Your Hidden The Sims Family Poster in The Sims Social

Our reader Emily has sent us a really hot tip: there is a limited edition, hidden item that you can claim in The Sims Social by clicking a link: we're talking about the Sims Family Poster, an item that you can receive for free by clicking the following link:

- Click here to get The Sims Family Poster
This exclusive and really great looking item will add a value of 700 Simoleons to your house and after you place it will offer "special rewards for purchasing The Sims 3". So it's some sort of promotional item that was probably scheduled for release at a later date by Electronic Arts and Playfish, but somehow got leaked.

So click the link above to get the poster - even if you don't plan to buy The Sims 3 in the near future, it's still a very nice looking poster that increases your Sims Social house value for free!

Thanks, Emily, for the hot tip. If you have any, please don't hesitate to send them over at simssocialinfo@gmail.com

How to Get Fury Fast Without Being Rude or Losing Energy

As you probably know already, one of the missions in The Sims Social requires us to collect a ton of Fury and you probably think that the only way that you can get Fury in the game is by being rude and mean with your neighbors. Well, apparently that's not the case and you can easily get more fury without being rude and even without consuming energy!

Here is the really hot tip that was sent this way by Kirsty: "I discovered a way to get fury items (those red devil faces) pretty fast without performing mean interactions and without using energy!

You just need to play the guitar for fun. By chance you will be rewarded a fury item (like you will have one or two fury for sure after playing the guitar 10 times). The only problem is your sim will get bored doing this."

Well, now this is some good news for the social and friendly Sims!

Tons of New Items Released Today in The Sims Social

Wooow! The Sims Social just got today the first content update and let me tell you one thing: it's HUGE! Now you will have tons of items to use in order to decorate your homes. Specifically, you will be able to get your own Pink Bathroom which looks awfully cute:
Also, you can get a very classy looking Kitchen, amongst other things. Here is the suggestion of the developers:

They all look nice and of course, nothing can be complete without a new set of decorations, and that's exactly what Electronic Arts delivers: a brand new set of decorations for our homes in The Sims Social!

The best news is that many of these new items are available for regular coins, so I guess that it's safe to say that this weekend we'll be busy decorating, right?

Tips: Make your own Mulch in The Sims Social

The nice thing about The Sims Social is the fact that you can experiment things, you can place outdoor items inside and vice-versa, you can stack items together and obtain a lot of interesting things and designs.

For the decoration freaks, I have a really nice tip to share with you thanks to Hankuro: how to make your own Mulch in The Sims Social that looks like this:

Seems nice and you want it too? Here's what to do: "Take a Dark Colored carpet and put it underneath your trees, shrubs, and plants!"

Very simple and with a great effect! Good luck designing your new house!

Can Your Sim Die in The Sims Social?

Those of us who also play the offline version of The Sims know that death is part of a Sim's life (sic!) and that Sims will, sooner or later, pass away. That brings an interesting discussion into play: do Sims die in The Sims Social as well?

The answer is, fortunately, no! Your Sims will live a long, happy life for as long as you play. Unfortunately, they can't have kids either, so you win some but you lose some...

What do you think? Would've you liked it more if having kids and death were part of The Sims Social?

The Sims Social House Designs for Inspiration

Of course, when it comes to designing our own house in The Sims Social, we don't need any help as we all feel the need to be original. Therefore, I invite you to check out seven great Sims Social house designs that you can use for inspiration (click the images for a larger picture)!

Funny Sims Social: Clones of Your Sims Everywhere

It appears that a very funny glitch has made its way to The Sims Social: more "clones" or copies of your Sim can be seen in the house creating a very funny and maybe a little scary effect. Check out some images below that show you the "outer body experience" in The Sims Social, as some user calls it or simply the clone glitch in Playfish's app:

The Sims Social Red Square Quest Problem

Some people are reporting a rather strange problem with The Sims Social: a red square appears where the mission should be but it can't be clicked and therefore nobody knows what to do in order to complete that mission - if it is a mission at all!
After doing some research I found out that indeed the Sims Social red square that appears to the left side of the screen is a quest that must be completed but doesn't show properly. However, it does record your progress and if you complete the requirements you can carry on.

So here is what to do to complete the "Red Square" mission:

- Trim a neighbor's Bush/plant/flower
- Collect 5 Goodwill

After doing this, you will get the message that you have completed the mission and the red square will be gone.

Did you have this problem in The Sims Social or you were one of the lucky fellows?

Lost Your Room in The Sims Social? Here's What to Do!

You might be a bit scared if you logged in today in the game only to notice that you have lost your room in The Sims Social: usually the living room is the one that disappears, but any other room might disappear from the game. And understandably you want it back.

Fortunately, you don't have to build your room again and you can get it back pretty quickly: due to a bug of the game or maybe a moment of distraction on your side, the room got into storage. So here is what to do to get your lost room in The Sims Social:
Click the Shop Button, then the Storage icon, and select from the left menu the room option:
If you don't find it there, although it should be there, go to room building and you'll find it there (indicated by a box with a number near it).

Are you having any problems with lost rooms in The Sims Social? Did this tip help you find it?

Cars Coming Soon to The Sims Social?

It appears that The Sims Social didn't launch with all the possible features (and it only seems natural to be so) and a future update of the game will introduce Cars to The Sims Social!

As a proof for that we have a picture that appeared on the internet a while ago while The Sims Social was still in closed beta and it is supposedly a screenshot made by a tester.
So if you look closely, not only that the Car is present in the yard, but also the yard is bigger. Hopefully new content updates will be released shortly to help us get the most out of the game!

Would you like to see cars released in The Sims Social?

Where to Find Telescope in The Sims Social

Hello, friends! I'm back with a short and quick update: many people are sending me e-mail asking where to find the Telescope in The Sims Social. This is required to complete a mission and progress and nobody seems to find it.

So I am here to tell you how to get the Telescope in The Sims Social!

Simply click the Shop button then the "Living" area and click the right icon five times. You should see the telescope there, as seen in the image below:

Hopefully this will help you progress and complete the mission where you must buy telescope in The Sims Social.
