The developers say that we can get Esteem in The Sims Social by performing friendly actions with our neighbors, but I am sure you have tried it just as much as I did and nothing happened. Therefore, we can only think at this moment that we're talking about a bug and somehow Playfish will have to fix it really soon.
But until that happens, we can still get Esteem in The Sims Social: we can ask our friends to send it over and even though it's not as fun as interacting with Sims, it does the job!
So good luck getting the hard to get Esteem in the game!
Half the time when i ask friends for things my friends don't receive the request at all or a day late. I have alot of trouble completing tasks because of this and soo soo many other problems.. such as collecting stuff from volcanic rock, now that task has waay passed now but i STILL have no even once had any volcanic rock grow on my properties! I try soo hard to complete my tasks in time but fail terribly almost every time because of all these 'bugs' or whatever you want to call them.. it's just not fair, i'm even spending SimCash trying to complete them in time but still fail. :(

DeleteI cant get people to click on my requests. I think its because half the time they never see them. I never get the missions done in time.

I only have 5 neighbours (6 including Bella) and only 2 of them actively play, so I hardly ever get enough of the items in time! I feel like Im annoying all my other friends by posting asking for help all the time when they dont play the game. I too am against facebook strangers!
DeleteI can't tag my friends who happen to be my neighbors (there are 6, 7 including Bella) in the posts I have to make on my feed... but I get around it by commenting on my own post and tagging them in that.
ReplyDeleteKeep asking for esteem and friends aren't getting the requests. I have been doing this for three days. They are also sending requests for esteem and I am not getting their requests either.

DeleteI am having the same problem and I have about 10 people who actively play with me! All my other requests, wall clicks and such are working just fine, but I have not gotten a single "esteem" returned. It's frustrating to be stall mid-quest like this; I am on day 3 of requesting esteem to get nothing!
ReplyDeleteProof in the pudding I had my boyfriend log into Sims in front of me and he didn't get the request!
The sims makes me sick most days I am on the last part of the arc steam automobile i will not get it as the quest ends in 40 minutes, and its due to the same issues friends not getting requests, as well as even though they don't get the requests, my game recognizes i asked so i can not ask again, esteem well there is no way to get that doing friendly social actions, and when i was on the last item and i was like whoo hoo the cars mine a hidden bar came up asking for more junk, they make the quests impossible with all the crap they want you to collect, and requests never going through, everything im so disapointed... I have been working on pet beds ever since they came out the collars and bones in my yard never give me collars or bones, can ask for any since they constantly have a quest going on, also who the hell has ever finished the pent house wardrobe? 5 months now i have worked on that they want more shoes then Neman Marcus as well as odd things it tells you to clear pent house stuff to collect but you cant clear anything until this wardrobe from hell is finished so? what do you do? totaly frustrating!!!!
