Sims Social Study: How to Get Both Simoleons and Social Points with One Action

I think that when energy is starting to get low (and nowadays, following the recent changes in The Sims Social, energy is harder to get), we should try to maximize the revenue we get from interacting with our neighbors. Therefore, I have decided to create a list (which might not be complete) of interactions that you can perform or actions that you should to in order to get both Simoleons and Social Points in The Sims Social - since this rarely happens and it's Simoleons and Social Points that are the basic currency in the game.

So here is a list of actions that you can perform in The Sims Social while visiting your neighbors in order to get both Simoleons and Social Points:

- Interact with the Fish Tank, get 2 Social Points and 20 Simoleons
- Workshop Table for 2 Social Points and 5 Simoleons
- Make Bed (although this is not always an option) gives you 1 Social Point and 5 Simoleons

Sims Social Tip: How to Decrese Storage and Store Unlimited Items!

Hello there, fellow Sims Social players! Today I am here to share with you an amazing tip that will help you decrease that storage number and allow you to virtually store unlimited items in The Sims Social. So if you want to decrease your storage limit or simply store a ton of items, here is what you should do:

- Build a new room (or empty a room that you can do without)
- Put all the items that you want to store in that room (don't forget that stacking the items allows you to put there a ton of items)
- Store the room

This way, all the items inside the room will automatically get stored but fortunately they won't be counted towards the storage limit, so therefore you can store as many items as you feel like this way!

Big Trouble in Littlehaven Problem with Purchase of Japanese Items

Hello, friends! Just a quick note to help you get past the Big Trouble in Littlehaven Mission 3, specifically the requirement that says "Buy 4 indoor living room items from this week's Japanese range". It all seems to be pretty easy to do, but things are a little bit different: if you try to buy some Japanese themed items from the Sims Social market, you will see that they are not counted towards the progress of the mission.

And this happens because you actually have to buy ONLY furniture items and there's not a huge load of them to choose from. Below are the only items that you can purchase in order to make them count in the Big Trouble in Littlehaven Mission 3:

Pretty expensive items, and if you've already spent your Simoleons getting other Japanese themed decorations, you'll probably have some trouble getting them. But at least now you know what to do in order to get past the Big Trouble in Littlehaven Mission 3.

How to Get More Glass Eyes in The Sims Social

In order to complete the third mission in the new series of The Sims Social missions (Happy Halloween series), you will need to collect a bunch of Glass Eyes in the game. Since this is a new item, I have decided to create this short but hopefully useful article to tell you how to get more Glass Eyes in The Sims Social. So read on for the tips and tricks:

- First of all, and the fastest way to do it is by asking your friends for some extra ones!
- Use the haunted skill and you have a chance to get more Glass Eyes
- Remove Halloween debris (mushrooms, roots etc) in your garden. These always give you extra Glass Eyes.

So, as you can see, getting more Glass Eyes in The Sims Social is really not that difficult, so good luck in getting all the required ones for completing the mission.

How to Get More Toads in The Sims Social

The release of the Happy Halloween mission series in The Sims Social brings us a requirement that shouldn't be a problem to complete for most of the active users: have a specific number of toads in the game to complete the second mission in the series. However, since not all of us are really active Sims Social players, let's see how to get more toads in The Sims Social:

- Easiest way to get it is as a free gift from friends or from sending direct requests to neighbors
- Take pictures of the Toads that appear in your yard (randomly)
- Use the Haunted Skill

You need 20 toads to complete this mission and using these tips to get more toads in The Sims Social, I am sure that you'll easily get them all!

Sims Social Tips: Reviving 10 Plants for Completing the Mission

For the Need to Know mission in The Sims Social, one of the requirements is to Revive 10 Plants and everybody is complaining that it's really difficult to find neighbors with withered plants to revive. However, I am here to share with you a very simple trick that will certainly help you complete the mission faster:

If friends revive your own plants, they count towards the quest's limit, so there's no point in searching for dead plants at your neighbors', but instead let yours die and wait for your friends to revive them.

Also, if you have some real friends playing the game, you could talk to them and ask them to plant some plants and let them die, just for you to revive. This way, you will finish the Revive 10 Plants mission even faster.

10 Ways On How To Be Your Friend's Favorite Neighbor

Hi, all!  I'm Coz and I'm delighted to now be contributing to The Sims Social Info. You may have seen my house in a recent posting.  Of course, it's changed a bit over the last 24 hours as I'm constantly tinkering with things, but it's still basically the same.

For my first article, I'd like to point out some tips on how to be a good neighbor in The Sims Social.  They're important to remember because you need your neighbors to be good as much as they need you.

Now, I know some of these things can only be achieved if you have the money to do so (like having a couch), so just keep them in mind for when you are in the position to follow them.

1. Have a couch in front of your TV (Also, have a TV)
   I can't tell you how many times I've tried to interact with my neighbors by watching TV with them only to find out they don't have enough room for the both of us to sit down on.  This also became pretty frustrating when, during a quest, I needed to watch TV with 6 friends.  This quest would have never been achievable if they didn't have a TV or the couch for us both to sit on.
2. Have a radio
   This gives your friends the ability to dance with you and the more things you can do with your neighbors when you come over to visit, the less boring it gets.  Be sure to put it in a place that two people can stand close to, too… which brings me to #3...
3. Be aware of your interactive objects' surroundings
   Don't place a canvas or musical instrument in between two other items.  Your friends will not be able to paint a portrait of you or play for them.  I have not been able to figure out which side needs to be open.  It may differ for each thing (which seems like a bug to me). It seems in some places, I can't paint someone's portrait if the left side is blocked but at another friend's house, I can. So leave both sides open, if you can.  On a similar note, make sure your couch has enough room to walk around it.  And finally, make sure anything you have that can break has one side open so you or your friend can repair it.
4. Have a bare counter in the kitchen
   If you're going to have an oven, leave a counter-top bare.  This will not only help you with your cooking, but also allow your friends to cook you things while they're visiting.
5. Be aware of your doorways
   Make sure all your doorways are usable and you don't have anything in the way of them.  Also, make sure you HAVE doorways to all your rooms.  I had this one friend who made his front door lead into a room with nowhere to go and flowers blocked the pathways to anywhere else outside, too.  I couldn't interact with him for days.  Then I finally told him about it.
6. Have garbage cans and/or trash bins
   They seem pretty useless at first, but part of my daily 5 ritual (when using up my 5 daily bonus energy on my friends) is to rummage through their garbage cans.  This gives me 10 XP, 5 Simoleons, and sometimes an Energy bolt.
7. Let your romantic friend Woohoo! you
   If someone wants to Woohoo you, why wouldn't you do everything possible to allow them to?  Am I right?!  So if you have a romantic relationship with a friend, make sure your bed is big enough for the both of you.  You can still Woohoo in the shower or tub, but y'know… sometimes we need a soft place we can bounce on.  (I've never had this problem because I've always had a full-size bed, but I heard this was an issue.  If Woohoo'ing is not a problem on a single bed, then disregard this)
8. Help them complete quests
   You'll really be appreciated when you have these other items, which will help them complete quests… even if you have no use for them.
   • Mirror: A necessity for a quest.  Your friends will appreciate that you have a mirror they can use, even if you never use it.
   • Phone: Also needed to complete some quests which require making phone calls.  It's nice to go over and use free energy on a friend's phone.
   • Garden plots: They will help your friend when they're sent on quests to water and/or revive crops.
9. Keep up your end of the relationship
   Relationships are a two-way street in real life, just as they are in The Sims Social.  If I'm spending my daily 5 on you and you're not spending them on me, then our relationship begins to deteriorate pretty quickly.  Ever get those reminders pop up from your friends saying they haven't seen you in awhile and our relationship status is grey and dropping?  But you were just over there yesterday?  Yeah.  It's not your fault.  I'm currently trying to keep 4 or 5 friendships afloat all by myself right now and I'm sure it's because they're not coming over to spend time with my Sim.  tsk tsk tsk.
10. Let them know you've visited
    OK!  So now that you're keeping up your end of the relationship and visiting your neighbors every day, it gives you the option to tell your friend that you've visited… do it!  You give them money and stuff!  Don't you like when your friend does that for you?  :)

How to Save The Sims Social Game Progress

As you probably know already, there is no "Save" button in The Sims Social and the progress of your game is saved automatically by the game. But you probably also know that it happens every now and then to quit the game only to return and see that your progress was not saved. Fortunately, I found a way for you to work around this small problem and save your progress in The Sims Social.

This is what you need to do to save your game: simply visit a neighbor (must be different than the last one you've visited) and the game will save automatically. So if you finish a quest, for example, and visit another neighbor, your progress will be saved by The Sims Social and you shouldn't have any unpleasant surprises when you return!

Sims Social Tip: You Can Move Anything, Anywhere

Well, I am sure that this is a very generic title that basically makes no sense at all (or at most makes you say "So What?") but the thing is that knowing that you can move basically anything from The Sims Social and put in Anywhere in your house or yard is an incredible achievement, because it will allow you to create some designs that are unique and innovative and such.

For example, you can put puddles in the yard, mix them together with some rocks and trees like forum user gkundo did and have a really nice result:

Just have in mind that some items can only be interacted with while in their natural habitat. E.G. The water puddles can only be rotated while in the house: after placing them outside, there's just an option left: to clean them or let them be.

How to Get Fury Fast Without Being Rude or Losing Energy

As you probably know already, one of the missions in The Sims Social requires us to collect a ton of Fury and you probably think that the only way that you can get Fury in the game is by being rude and mean with your neighbors. Well, apparently that's not the case and you can easily get more fury without being rude and even without consuming energy!

Here is the really hot tip that was sent this way by Kirsty: "I discovered a way to get fury items (those red devil faces) pretty fast without performing mean interactions and without using energy!

You just need to play the guitar for fun. By chance you will be rewarded a fury item (like you will have one or two fury for sure after playing the guitar 10 times). The only problem is your sim will get bored doing this."

Well, now this is some good news for the social and friendly Sims!

Tips: Make your own Mulch in The Sims Social

The nice thing about The Sims Social is the fact that you can experiment things, you can place outdoor items inside and vice-versa, you can stack items together and obtain a lot of interesting things and designs.

For the decoration freaks, I have a really nice tip to share with you thanks to Hankuro: how to make your own Mulch in The Sims Social that looks like this:

Seems nice and you want it too? Here's what to do: "Take a Dark Colored carpet and put it underneath your trees, shrubs, and plants!"

Very simple and with a great effect! Good luck designing your new house!

Tip: How to Remove Withered Crops Without Using Energy

Sometimes, it just happens for you not to be able to log in to The Sims Social and therefore you don't get to harvest your crops in time, so the plants wither. Removing them costs energy and you gain nothing from this, but there is a simple trick that's still working and allows you to save energy by removing withered plants without using any energy!

Here is what to do - a method by Sharkyo posted on the official Sims Social forums:

"Just store the plots in storage, then take them out again. Your withered plants will be gone!"

A pretty simple thing to do, but effective. Of course, if you have active neighbor, they might help you unwither the crops, which would be even better since it would give you some Simoleons too!

The Sims Social Tips & Tricks You Might Not Know

There might be some "secrets" in The Sims Social that you don't know yet, so I have decided to write this article in order to share with you some tips and tricks that you might not know. These are not necessary things that you HAVE to do, but rather things that it's good to know they exist and you can do them. Who know, maybe you will find them helpful some day!

So here are the Sims Social tips and tricks you might not know:

1. In order for your Sim to cook on a stove, he will need an empty counter near it to prepare the food.

2. In order for your Sim to repair a computer or collect Blue/White essence from it, he will need to have and empty space to the right of the computer.

3. Your Sim will always by default the newest item that you have purchased. So if you buy a kitchen sink and click the need button for hygiene, the Sim will use the kitchen sink, not the bathroom one (unless broken). So if you want to have control on where the Sim washes or performs other actions, you will have to personally select use for that specific object.

4. When you reach a certain skill level in the game, you can purchase different objects from the shop. It would be best to do so as soon as possible so that you increase your earnings and further improve your skill (helps with the game progression too!)

5. If your toilet is broken, or your sink or radio or anything else and you need to fill a Sim's need and don't have the energy to repair them, you can easily visit another Sim and use their items with the same effect!

6. You can place outdoor items inside and indoor items outside - this means that you don't necessary have to build rooms in order to increase the value of your house! But it won't look pretty either!

7. Watch your energy and experience: when you level up, your energy bar replenishes, so it would be best to try and level up when you have the least energy available in order to gain as much energy as possible when you level up!

8. You should build items with a hammer above them (meaning that they require additional parts) and always ask for them from your friends, even if you have them: they won't be wasted, these items can be used for building other objects or for crafting!

How to Daydream and Perform Other Greyed Out Actions?

Early on in The Sims Social, there is the Joining the IQ Club mission where you must collect or better said, you must Daydream five times, but if you do purchase a chair or sofa for your house and Daydream, the action greys out and you can't perform it again.

So what to do in this case, since I believe that purchasing the remaining actions for regular money is not an option?
It's pretty simple, actually: just head over to a neighbor and Daydream at their place. You can visit multiple neighbors to Daydream at their place and you waste no money nor energy!

So the same thing stands for all the other actions that you are required to perform in The Sims Social and get greyed out at your house: just visit a neighbor and problem is solved!

Oh, no! I Can't WooHoo in The Sims Social!

Today I noticed a rather sad thing: I can't WooHoo in The Sims Social! That seemed to be pretty strange at first, because the option to WooHoo was there in the interaction screen:

And I could also queue it in the action line:

...but it was simply ignored by the characters, so we were not allowed to WooHoo.

So why can't I WooHoo in The Sims Social? Is it a bug or something?
Most likely not! Probably the answer to the question appears when you try to WooHoo in the shower and the following info appears: "You can't WooHoo unless your relationship status is Going Steady, Inseparable, Totally Inseparable, Soul Mates or Soul Mates +":

Well, since The Sims Social tries to be as close to real life as possible, one would've thought that WooHooing was possible at earlier stages, right? Well, maybe EA tries to send us a message and let us know that we should definitely wait a little bit before we WooHoo somebody.

So back to interacting some more!
